How this works: weekly_patients × 4.33 × no_show_rate × avg_value. Recovered = same formula on the delta between your current rate and ~8%.

How the math works

  • Industry baseline no-show rate: 18-22% across dental practices in North America (ADA + various PMS reporting dashboards). 20% is a reasonable default if you're not sure.
  • Recovered with Cadence: practices that ship Mia (24h + 2h SMS reminders) plus Luna (recall + reactivation) drop their no-show rate to ~8% on average — a 60% relative reduction from the 20% baseline. Reminders alone do most of the work; the reactivation flow recovers patients who otherwise ghost.
  • Lost-revenue formula: weekly_patients × 4.33 × no_show_rate × avg_value. The 4.33 is the average number of weeks per month.
  • Recovered-revenue formula: same as above, but applied to the delta between your current no-show rate and the post-Cadence rate. Conservative — assumes no upside from filling the recovered slots with rescheduled or recall patients.

These are industry averages, not a guarantee. Real numbers depend on your patient mix, geography, and how aggressively you run reminders. We don't store any input from this page.
