Cadence vs NexHealth — autonomous front desk, not a scheduling layer

NexHealth is a scheduling + intake + billing layer that sits on top of your existing front desk. Cadence Agents replaces the front desk itself with eight AI agents who answer calls, book appointments, run recall, and handle billing without a human in the loop.

// where the swap pays off

Why practices switch.

Live in 5 minutes, not 5 weeks

Self-serve onboarding. NexHealth runs an implementation project. By the time their team finishes integrating, your Cadence front desk has been booking appointments for a month.

Voice agent, not a portal

Patients call. NexHealth pushes them to forms. Eva picks up and books — the most natural patient experience because it's the only one that doesn't require behavior change.

Public pricing

We publish every price online. Solo $249, Practice $599, Practice Pro $1,199. NexHealth quotes per-practice. Transparent pricing means no procurement back-and-forth.

Single-vendor, eight agents

Sage drafts notes, Vera verifies eligibility, Cora chases overdue invoices. NexHealth scopes to scheduling + intake; you'd add three more vendors for the rest.

// faq

Frequently asked.

Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. Cadence supports both forwarding (no porting required, fastest path) and porting your number to our trunk for full ownership. The onboarding flow asks which path you prefer.
Is there a minimum contract or setup fee?
No. Month-to-month, cancel anytime via the dashboard. No setup fee. 14-day free trial on every paid plan.
How long does onboarding take?
About five minutes. Eva, Mia, and Maya are live within thirty seconds of signup. Onboarding collects practice details, your phone setup, and a one-paragraph description that Maya extracts hours, providers, and PMS from automatically.
Does Cadence integrate with my PMS?
Open Dental and Curve Dental have two-way sync today. Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft, and Boulevard are in active development. If your PMS has an API or HL7 export, our team will scope an integration in the first week of your trial.
What if I already have NexHealth's online scheduling?
You can run both during a transition period. Cadence's voice agent and reminders work whether or not your scheduling sits with us. Most practices retire NexHealth at the end of their next renewal once they see the bookings Eva is closing.
